In 2010, OHFA was selected by the US Department of Treasury to administer Hardest Hit Fund (HHF) dollars for the State of Ohio. This was allocated through the Neighborhood Initiative Program (NIP). NIP was created to stabilize property values by removing and greening vacant and blighted properties in Targeted Areas in an effort to prevent future foreclosures for existing homeowners. In 2017, LCLRC was awarded a $250,000 grant to acquire and remediate selected properties.
